AutoCAD Crack+ [April-2022]

History of AutoCAD

AutoCAD first saw the light of day in 1982 as a desktop application for DOS and Windows platforms. It was originally designed for the Apple II personal computer and its editor was called DRAW. In 1986, AutoCAD 1.0 was released for the Macintosh platform and a version for the IBM PC followed in 1988. The company then changed the application’s name to AutoCAD.

In 1990, AutoCAD 2.0 was released for Windows and the Apple Macintosh. This was followed by release of the Windows 3.0 platform in 1993 and the Windows NT platform in 1994.

AutoCAD was also one of the original 20 commercially available CAD programs in 1998 to be installed with Windows 98. Later in 1998, AutoCAD 2000, the first commercial CAD application to run on Windows 95 and 98, and Windows NT was introduced. AutoCAD 2007, the first release of AutoCAD to be available in the Web edition (website), was released in 2007.

AutoCAD is an acronym that stands for “automatically creating computer aided design”.

AutoCAD functionality

Essential AutoCAD functionality

AutoCAD is a multi-user application that can be used in many different ways depending on the type of job being undertaken.

The initial way in which AutoCAD is used is by a drafting operator, who creates the desired shape with the mouse or keyboard, or by a layout operator, who uses the shapes created by the drafting operator to plot the entire piece of work. Both drafting and layout operators may be involved in the same project if desired.

AutoCAD users can:

• Draw lines, circles, rectangles, polygons, 2D arcs, ellipses, splines, and 3D curves

• Save or open drawings

• Generate project files

• Plot shapes

• Design 2D and 3D objects

• Use tables, grids, and settings, etc.

• Lay out

• Calculate and compare objects

• Save project files for subsequent use

• Export drawings for various media

In July 2019 Autodesk announced AutoCAD Cracked Version 2020, their first major new release since AutoCAD 2009. It is the first release of AutoCAD since the company was acquired by Raytheon.

Autodesk plans to port AutoCAD to Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems.

OS versions
AutoCAD includes the following operating system platforms:
Mac OS

AutoCAD for Architecture, Planning and MEP includes features that are required for these three fields:
MEP stands for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.

If the user wants to create a drawing from scratch, AutoCAD 2011 or 2012 offers the ability to draw a bill of materials (BOM) with associated assembly drawings.

AutoCAD’s ObjectARX API provides an alternative approach to programming. It can be used on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. AutoCAD 2010 has also supported Visual LISP for two decades.

AutoCAD, first released in 1989, was the first commercially available CAD system. In 1991, AECLA was established as a joint venture company by Autodesk and the major electrical design firms in Canada. They were acquired by Autodesk in 2000.

AutoCAD software versions have been continuously updated, with the most recent version, AutoCAD LT 2010 and AutoCAD 2012, being released in 2009.

In 2012, Autodesk announced the introduction of AutoCAD Architecture 2011 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011.

In 2013, Autodesk announced the introduction of AutoCAD Architecture 2012, AutoCAD Mechanical 2012, AutoCAD Electrical 2012 and AutoCAD Construction 2012.

In 2014, Autodesk introduced AutoCAD Mechanical 2014, AutoCAD Electrical 2014, and AutoCAD Construction 2014.

AutoCAD Crack License Code & Keygen

In Autodesk Autocad click on File>New>Topology and you can see an option to generate CASTL. If you do not see this option, you need to update your Autodesk Autocad version. In this tutorial, we will use CASTL3.3.0 (Autocad 2014 version).

Run the command line CASTL

The input screen of CASTL is shown below. Enter the following parameters to generate a set of CASTL parameters.

As an example, enter the following parameters to generate the following.

This will generate the key to be used in the autocad file to generate the CASTL parameters.

This is one way to generate the CASTL parameters. You can also use this on the command line to generate the CASTL parameters.

$ sh /users/user_name/

$ sh /users/user_name/

The above command will generate the following.

The output file will contain the following lines.

This is the generated key.

UserName= your_user_name

Password= your_password

Generate the AUTOCAD file

Go to File>New>Topology.

On the new topology screen, click on import from CastL parameters. This will open the following screen.

Enter the above key to open the Autocad file.

Select a view and use it.

Generate the CASTL parameters.

Click on the CASTL->Generate button.

Select the model name in the file you want the CASTL parameters.

Go to File>Save.

Open the saved file and save it.

Replace the imported key with the generated one.

After you have a CASTL model, you can edit it by entering edit mode. Right-click on the model on the workspace and select edit mode. You can then apply CASTL to the model as a plugin.

More information:

CASTL is a technology designed to provide the ability to produce design files and

parameter files for imported topologies that are accurate, non-interfering, and

quick to create.

In addition to topology support, CASTL can

What’s New In?

There are no longer two separate capabilities: read and modify drawings. You can now mark up a drawing and then immediately add feedback.

“Markup import” is the process of importing digital content into your drawing — adding content, layers, and text — so it is a format that is easily machine-readable. You can import content from a wide variety of formats, including PDF, EPS, and image. The imported content and any changes to your drawing are automatically incorporated into your drawing and updated in your drawing session.

The Markup import interface is entirely based on predefined content types. If you are importing a file that does not follow the predefined content types, you will be shown a prompt asking what to do with the imported content. For example, you may see a prompt asking you to add the imported content to a layer, tag it, or choose from other options.

Once you add the content to your drawing, you have the ability to modify the content, change the order, or delete it — just as you would if you had manually created the content in the drawing. You can also add dimensions to the content.

A content library is available as a web-based service, with collections of content that can be shared between your colleagues.

Markup Assist is an on-demand, web-based tool that enables you to add text, shapes, blocks, and other types of content into your drawings from a web browser. You can also add or modify the content, and then the changes are automatically incorporated into your drawing and saved to your drawing.

The tool automatically recognizes drawing and text styles, and can add or edit text based on predefined styles or place text on your drawing based on automatically created objects. If you don’t want text to be automatically created, you can simply uncheck the option that creates objects and then specify the position, style, and size of the text.

Make sure your drawings are accurate and organized for your customers by comparing documents from before and after you mark up your drawings.

You can now save your drawings to a new file format that is compatible with Microsoft Office for the first time. AutoCAD has supported a new format for the past three years.

In the past, you would lose a lot of time trying to figure out how to save a drawing to a different format than it was created in. Now, the new Microsoft Office document format provides much
